John 10:3 His Sheep Know His Voice

I woke up this morning exhausted, full of questions and concerns about the sale of my house, the lack of requests for private showings, and the reality that no offer has come in. Immediately, I began questioning things...

“LORD, you said it would go quickly, it would go for [insert dollar amount], you’ve even asked me to pray for the family that will buy and build memories in the home.”

Gosh, my flesh is weak, yet my spirit is willing.

So thankful that I was able to quickly take those thoughts captive. As I jumped out of bed feeling fatigued and frustrated, I grabbed my Bible app and played today’s chapter of my daily bible reading : John 10.

Immediately, as I heard “My sheep know my voice and I lead them,” I prayed that the Lord would help my unbelief and strengthen my faith. I thanked Him for being so gracious, conscious, and loving toward me. I thanked Him for leading me and guiding me as I seek to follow Him with the sale of my home, the potential placement of another child, guidance for my boys as they choose colleges for next year.

How quickly He turned my heart toward praise and trust and away from fear and confusion.

“And the sheep recognize the voice of the true Shepherd, for he calls his own by name and leads them”. ‭‭John‬ ‭10‬:‭3‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I will say I am in awe at the amount of scripture that is hidden in my heart. Ya’ll, I am no theologian. I’m just a girl who loves the Lord and wants to know Him more. One chapter a day has built such a solid foundation in me through the seasons of life and yet still proves to be faithful daily as I dive into the Word.

Thank you for the reminder, Lord, you are my shepherd, and I do know your voice.
