I have been so behind with blogging. (If you are following me daily, Im sure you know this already.) I have been reading everyday; It's the sharing what God Is stirring In my as I read I haven't kept up on. I went ahead and made a video summarizing several things Im learning as Ive read the last several chapters.
If you don’t have time to watch the full VLOG, here’s a quick summary of the verses that stood out to me and what God is revealing through them:
Deuteronomy 15:6 – God’s order is for His people to be lenders, not borrowers. Yet, we often find ourselves out of alignment with this. Today, I’m sitting with the Lord, asking what He wants to highlight for me personally.
Deuteronomy 16:6 – Remembering is more than obedience—it’s about relationship and worship. God invites us to remember in a place where we can be with Him, drawing us into deeper connection and trust.
Deuteronomy 17:1 – God’s holiness requires a spotless sacrifice, foreshadowing Jesus as the perfect offering. He willingly takes all of me on Him, covering my imperfections with His perfection.
Deuteronomy 18:2 – The Levites received the Lord as their inheritance, a reminder that He is more valuable than anything this world offers. A few years ago, I might have struggled with that, but today, I rest in the truth that Jesus is my greatest inheritance.
Deuteronomy 19:20 – Discipline serves a purpose beyond correction—it helps others learn. While private correction has its place, there’s also wisdom in allowing others to witness and learn from mistakes.
Deuteronomy 20:1 – This verse confirmed something deep in my heart. I’ve wrestled with the size of the vision God has given me, feeling like it’s too big. But God reminded me: if He called me to it, He will provide the wisdom, strategy, and provision. I just need to trust Him.
I love reading the Word In community. We can learn from one another. What stood out to you in these chapters?
