Deuteronomy 22: More Love

“In this way, you will purge this evil from among you.” — Deuteronomy 22:24b (NLT)

I am so, so grateful we don’t do life this way anymore. Maybe it’s better to say Im so grateful this is no longer the standard to bring about change! Every-time I feel absolutely broken or at my wits end in this world of parenting Im reminded Im not alone and LOVE is the missing piece.

I’m reading a book right now that says, “The key is not obedience, it’s love! If you have trouble with obedience, it’s not because you need more discipline. You need more love.”

Jesus said in John 14:15, “If you love me, you will obey my commands.”

Obedience isn’t about rigid rules or fear—it’s the overflow of love. And because of Jesus, we get to walk in this fresh way of life. Thankful today for His love that leads us home.
