“The Lord said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and behold, they are a stiff-necked (stubborn, rebellious) people.”
Exodus 32:9 AMP
Not every time I read does a full verse stick out. Sometimes it might only be a word or phrase.
Today I couldn't help but shake seeing the word "stiff-necked" in the reading. It's funny how I felt like I already knew what it meant but almost sensed an impression to be sure I knew what it meant. I started by looking at multiple translations about the word. Most translations did use the word "stiff-necked." I then looked it up in a dictionary online and then specifically the definition according to the Bible context.
To be stiff-necked is to be obstinate and difficult to lead.
I gulped as I read it and thought, "Oh Lord, where in my life am I being obstinate and difficult to lead? My desire is to be yielded to you, God."
