Exodus 35: Lord give us a WILLING HEART

I have been doing a lot of study from the NKJV lately! I still look across multiple translations as I dive deeper into a particular scripture, but I spend the beginning of each day in the NKJV.

“‘Take from among you an offering to the Lord. Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it as an offering to the Lord: gold, silver, and bronze;

‘All who are gifted artisans among you shall come and make all that the Lord has commanded:

Then everyone came whose heart was stirred, and everyone whose spirit was willing, and they brought the Lord’s offering for the work of the tabernacle of meeting, for all its service, and for the holy garments. They came, both men and women, as many as had a willing heart, and brought earrings and nose rings, rings and necklaces, all jewelry of gold, that is, every man who made an offering of gold to the Lord.”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭35‬:‭5‬, ‭10‬, ‭21‬-‭22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I feel like the last few days have been a literal feast in the Word. I’m so enjoying my time with the Lord as we read through Exodus.

Today is Day 1 of 75 hard, The Well Edition. I’ll be stretching and playing pickle-ball for my movement today. Im so stinking excited to do this with YOU. It keeps me on track and I love learning from the Word with friends.

I was really drawn to the aspect of generosity in today’s reading. This reading isn't about tithing, It was offerings (Generosity). I felt it impressed on me today that the key to generosity is a willingness, a willing ❤️ heart. People gave of their resources and others gave of their talents and some a willingness to learn and help wherever they could. Again what I sense at the heart of all of it was a pure willingness to jump in and serve/give in whatever capacity was needed.

As I meditated on the Word this morning the Lord highlighted the variety of gifts and talents that were clearly needed to execute all that was coming together and how He partnered with us to accomplish these things. He didn't need us, but He allowed us to take part in the miraculous work He was doing! They accomplished so much. I’m so thankful for the reminder of Him as our Provider. I also love that He partners with us. All we need is a willingness.

I’m reminded from verse 34:10 in yesterday's reading that when the Lord made His covenant with Moses that it was awesome and He would do it “with” us, Not for us: And He said: “Behold, I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord. For it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.” ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭34‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Part of the reason I am working within the New King James Version as the basis of what I'm reading is because it is the original translation and so when words like “with” stand out it is both informative and intentional

A willing heart is at the core of generosity. It's not about how much talent or wealth one has. It is about the posture of the heart, a willingness. I love that. There was even reference in our reading today to Bezalel whom was called by God to have the ability to teach. This shows us others' didn't even have the knowledge or know how but were certainly willing!

As we kick off a New Year, my prayer for the Women @The Well, including those coming to The Well, are for our hearts to be stirred & willing to serve and give to God as He asks of us. As I think about The Well Encounter Inc. I can get overwhelmed easily with all the projects we are working on, finances that we need to move forward on initiatives and the amount of people needed to serve. I am simply surrendering all my cares to God and believing He will provide in all the areas needed. "Lord give us a posture of willingness as we seek to honor you in all we say and do here @The Well"

We are 5 days away from starting Leviticus. Now is the perfect time to order your Daily Journal:
