Leviticus 5: How much we forget...

As I read through today, Im overwhelmed with the rules, the amount of things required to follow God and be in right standing. They had to go through so much back then to atone for their sins

and to be in right standing with the Lord. I’m sure I would have questioned or strayed my faith knowing how hard it was. There were just so may rules to follow. There were so many things to do to follow God. Im sure there were times they were not into it. I would wonder if it was really worth it. Would I have given up following God or would I have appreciated it so much more?

I think as I read the old testament this time around the reality of what we are living in today is screaming at me. How much we forget what we have our hands on today. It would be easy to think we have it so much easier and yet even more important we are careful not to take the gift of Jesus' death for granted. I know when Ive had to work for things I appreciate and value the things more.

"Lord don't allow me to take for granted the gift of your presence in me. The power of the Holy Spirit I have access to. The gift of righteousness. Thank you Jesus. Im in awe. I don't deserve it. Lord YOU are my focus. I just want to know you more! May my life be a testament to you."

The more time we spend with him the more like him we become. No “invite” is needed when the

Lord gets ahold of your life. People are drawn to Him in us and will explore, lean in and be inspired to learn and grow too. I love how the woman at the well was only with the Lord for what seemed like minutes and while the HS hadn’t come yet, she was definitely baring the spirit on her. She had a zeal and a FIRE she couldn’t contain. Peter denied Jesus 3 times and after the HS came on him he (the spirit empowered him) to baptize and add 3000 to the Church. Whew, Holy Spirit come. Thank you.

"May we not skip a beat when it comes to walking in power by the HS. Empower our GO Lord. Help women come grow in your word, this community of women seeking to know you more, in prayer/meditation, worship and we KNOW as they spend time in your presence, beholding You they can’t help but encounter you in a NEW way. Transform me, transform us. Whew Lord continue to have your way in us."
