“But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh remained alive, of the men who went to spy out the land.”Numbers 14:38 (NKJV)
Joshua and Caleb were faithful, trusting God’s promise that the land was theirs. But they didn’t get

to enjoy the Promised Land right away. They had to wait 40 years! That’s a long time to wait after doing the right thing.
But here's the thing: delays don’t mean denial. Their faithfulness didn’t go unnoticed, and their reward came eventually. God sees your faithfulness too—even if the wait feels long. Sometimes the process is slower, but God is always working behind the scenes.
Let’s also remember the power of generational faith. Joshua and Caleb weren’t just staying faithful for themselves; they were laying the foundation for future generations to experience God’s goodness. That’s something worth sticking with—even when it feels like a long wait.
Here are a few of my takeaways today:
Don’t get discouraged by delays—God’s timing is perfect.
My faithfulness today could be setting up something big for the future.
Keep trusting, even when I can’t see the outcome yet.
Prayer: God, help me remember that delays don’t mean denial. I trust that You’re working in the waiting. Help me stay the course. Amen.
