“then the priest shall put the woman under the oath of the curse, and he shall say to the woman

—“the Lord make you a curse and an oath among your people, when the Lord makes your thigh rot and your belly swell;”
Numbers 5:21 NKJV
As I read today's chapter, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of compassion for those who are reading it for the first time and may not fully understand the context or the essence of what’s happening. The Lord is so good. He is for us and He longs to be with us. But sometimes, chapters like the one we read today may not help those new to the process see the bigger picture—the deeper context of God's heart.
Lord, as I pray for You to break my heart for what breaks Yours, I think back to where I was personally just 10 years ago, or even just 1 year ago. How You’ve revealed Yourself to me through Your Word time and time again. Help me not to stay silent, but to share the hope You’ve given me with others, so that they, too, can come to know You as the loving Father You really are.
I feel deeply for those who may not yet grasp the true character and goodness of God. There’s a longing in me for people to know the Lord, not based on misconceptions or what they think He is, but on who He truly is. Trust the process. Keep reading. Allow the Lord to reveal himself fully!
